Pictures from the Speed Weekend held this weekend (2-3/12/2011) at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.
Speed Weekend is the premier multi-championship event catered especially to regional motor racing categories.
The theme was "Thrice the Fun!" with three different series the WGA Supercar ME Series, the inaugural Maserati Trofeo JBF RAK Middle East and Batelco 2000cc Championships going on plus Sprint Bikes and Cars.
The WGA Supercars Middle East Championship, backed by Bahrain-based asset management company Western Gulf Advisory (WGA), has already established itself as the top regional circuit racing category in the entire region.
The one-make Maserati championship features up to a dozen Maserati GranTurismo MC Trofeo race cars making up the opening grid.
The BIC 2,000cc Challenge is the leading category for drivers looking to make a name for themselves at the entry level of circuit racing.
